TRON came out when I was 10 and made a big impression on me, not only for the stunning visuals but for the incredible music by composer Wendy Carlos. Here’s my take on one of those pieces - the “Tron Scherzo”, for four guitars and bass. youtu.be/fbS1J100c1g
Chipotle, cocoa powder, corn meal (!), cumin, oregano, salt, chili pepper flakes. It’s like they scanned my brain and made my perfect spice blend. Got this at Costco. 😍😍😍

A little nervous to share this, but I invented a new mode today: Mixolydian raise 7. Taking the traditionally lowered seventh scale degree up a semitone really gives it a fascinating, uncanny sound. I think this could be big!

I love the cooking site “Tasty”, but I think that this recipe idea is only for those who have given up on life. This is like buying one of those frozen pizzas that come with cookies in the same box.

I’m so looking forward to coming back to an America free of harsh words and name calling and be amongst people who I know have common ground and harmony. It’s a challenge but it can be done!

Just reading a Wikipedia article which is a list of Monk tunes. I get to “Epistrophy” and it says: “Co-written with Kenny Clarke. The main melodic theme was composed by Clarke after experimenting with fingerings on the ukulele.” 😳🤯🤯🤯🤯

Let’s recap. Trump spent months spreading lies about vote by mail so his supporters wouldn’t use it. Then Republicans blocked proposals to allow mail ballots to be counted quickly. Now Trump claims the counting of valid mail ballots is fraud. Enough. We will count every vote.

trump supporters: “Look, he tells it like it is and sometimes he’s out of line but that’s why I like him. He may not be for everyone! 😀 - Election results: Well, looks like you were right. He’s not for everyone! - trump supporters: “Aghhhh! Stop counting! Rigged!”

I never thought that such wisdom could come from a sandwich meat. Following now.
just gonna come out and say it: vulnerable people are always the most susceptible to propaganda, misinformation, and conspiracy, especially in times of cultural anxiety, and if there is a way to help them out of these traps, targeted self-righteous vilification isn’t it
I keep thinking of this Milton Friedman quote: 'Only a crisis — actual or perceived — produces real change. When that crisis occurs, the actions that are taken depend on the ideas that are lying around. (...) the politically impossible becomes politically inevitable.'
