Crazy how failure drives me to better. Day after my worst performance, I figured it out. Cycles, 06 filtering, ideal lines. I can’t wait to prove it next event. Can’t wait 💯

Kissimmee was my worst event ever. First offline I’ve ever missed the top cut, but my performance was so bad today that no excuse justifies it. I’ll be back next event. I’ll win if it to make up for today. That’s 💯

Losing to Katakuri because I made a mistake I normally wouldn’t have made feels so bad. My first Swiss lost as Sakazuki, 17th official game. Cheers to many more 🍻

Nothing feels worse than a game you have in the bag but lose because of a brain fart moment. Excuses: - frontier cancelled flight, flew 24h - lack sleep, needed to use restroom badly Reality: - I made a bad play and my opponent punished me for it

One Piece Japan is releasing a new EX event pack that can be won by 3-0ing side events… It includes the top player cards from Bandai Fest AND previous Championship Series cards 🤯

Speaking of blatant cheaters, how has Deep Patel not been banned yet? This was an online regionals game vs @JCM1117 - JCM swings 11K at lead with Luffy - Deep Patel says "12" and quickly throws hand in trash - JCM asks to count that (rightfully so) - Deep Patel shows 5 cards from trash when he should only have 4. Luckily, it was spotted by JCM at the spot. - Deep Patel tries to gaslight by saying he ONLY had 11k and 4 cards. Nice try Deep Patel. You're still a cheater though.

Full disclosure: he is probably a skilled player BUT this type of "mistake" deserves no place in the competitive TCG community. So no, I don't consider him a top player, or even a good one at that. Good players don't cheat.

Online Warrior. Congrats on your finish man, I hope you're proud of yourself. I wonder how many of these are legit? 🤔

Not sure how the discussion turned from discussing the obvious flaws of the online webcam format to shaming people for having an opinion. Whether you are on the side of wanting or not wanting online webcam banned, don't stop talking about it. The bigger the conversation the better. The louder our voices are, the more inclined Bandai will be to improve what currently isn't working. So please, be kind to your fellow OPTCG folks. We're all on the same team here.

And for what it's worth: I'm on the side that online webcam tournaments should go away-- AS SOON as infrastructure is ready to replace it. I love that online events have increased accessibility of the game to tens of thousands of players around the world. That shouldn't ever stop. What I and many others would like is more support to solve the large cheating problem our events currently face. I believe webcam is a standard that is too expensive or difficult to enforce, which is why I'd always be in favor of a platform/app as a better medium.

You can feel free to disagree with me (perhaps you love the touch and feel of physical cards), and that's totally fine! What isn't fine is calling other people 🤡 for not sharing the same opinion. It's important to realize we all have different wants and needs from the game. Respect each other.

When the Top 8 prizing is $12K market value, can you even blame the 🤖 for cheating at that point? Bandai needs to run online via their own platforms (or use the Sim lol) or significantly reduce prizing. Until then, cheaters be cheating 💀

with everything going on in the OPTCG community… i think bandai needs to eradicate online events. way too many instances of cheating with little to no consequences for the cheaters.

Are you a Katakuri player because you're American, or are you American because you're a Katakuri player?
