Excited to hear that our contribution to the understanding of the fluid mechanics of airborne transmission made it as the top cited paper at @RSocPublishing #ProcA! @Cambridge_Eng @ImperialMechEng

2021's top-cited paper from #ProcA demonstrates that social distancing measures alone do not provide adequate protection from #COVID19, and emphasises the importance of ventilation and face masks in order to control the spread of the virus. ow.ly/QaXB50MPgbj | @pdrmo

Not even Nobel Prize laureates get straight A's.
Hear 2012 medicine laureate John Gurdon speak about being a non-intellectual and having a teacher that thought it was "ridiculous" that Gurdon thought about becoming a scientist.
Developmental biologist Gurdon received the medicine prize “for the discovery that mature cells can be reprogrammed to become pluripotent.”

#homefront article of the week: What did "the Americas" mean during #WWII? @mariagatti checks in with a sharp analysis of propaganda films & their implicit construction of a cartographic version of imperialist manifest destiny, with the US at the center. doi.org/10.1080/13569325.202…

Very happy that this is out! Great initiative and super rigorous work led by @MarcEJStettler and co-authored by myself and a number of experts in fluids and aerosol science related disciplines to compile the necessary parameters for benchmarking airborne transmission models.
