Congratulations to James O'Hurley on the release of his brand new single ‘Maria’.
Loved playing guitar, pedals steel and singing on this incredible track and honoured that James has entrusted Top Floor with it

Without fan-boying too much, I’ve been following @ThatEricAlper for a long time - hes a big figure in the music scene and in some incredible news, he has been kind enough to add ‘Colour’ to his 360°: The Best Indie Music playlist!!
Check it out here!

I discovered Kerouac and the Beat Generation at university - In California, we followed in the footsteps of arguably the most famous of the Beat writers, Jack Kerouac, and his words had a real impact in how i shaped the lyrics to colour #artist #indie #americana #indierock

If you have a few moments to listen to this interview as a parent with your child.
Possible one of the best post race interviews I have ever watched #PlayOn
Thanks to Andy White Gig Photography for these awesome shots of The Outlaw Orchestra from Farmer Phil's Festival

ONE WEEK TO GO!
In just 7 days, the first single from my second album will drop, I’m totally stoked!
I think the second album songs have a different character than the songs from the first record, there’s a definite progression in how my music works

Thanks to @mnprradio / @mnprmagazine for sharing the news about ‘Colour’ - can’t wait for August 16th when it’s out in the world!🌈🙌
Pete Briley releases first new music following a highly acclaimed debut album release in 2023.
Pete Briley’s solo endeavours provided access to explore alternate styles and genres away from the Country-Rock feel of the brilliant @outlaworchestra.
“Colour (California)” will be released on all digital platforms on 16th August 2024 and has been #Playlisted on #MNPRRadio today.

Working on new stuff, and I’ve gone for the ever-classic country pedal steel solo —> into a dirty breakdown with theremin solo —> back to country pedal steel… it’s a vibe 🎸⚡️🪕⚡️🎸

“Sorry to my constituents, but I have an important publicity stunt to attend.” He hasn’t had the job for more than a fortnight for fuck’s sake.

Doing some big vocals working on a new tune. I think it’s coming together! been pushing the pre-amp more in recent recordings and I’m really digging the way it saturates on my voice. #musician #artist #rockstar #vocals #recordingvocals #vocalchain #harmony #vocalharmony
New music - 16th August
Buzzing to share stuff I’ve been working on since the last record. The verse riff was written 17 years ago, but it took me a while to find a nice place for it to sit and in a few weeks it’ll be out in the world 🎸
