After a rebrand and including auto update feature to the Desktop app. I'm happy to share that OpenDisplay, formerly known as OpenSidecar, is now available in the Apple App Store for free & open source. 🙌 opendisplay.app

OpenDisplay: free, open-source Sidecar/Duet alternative

Use your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android device as a second monitor for your Mac. True extended display over USB or WiFi: Retina-sharp, low latency, with touch. No subscription, no dongle, no account.

OpenDisplay iPhone Duo support is coming along nicely. If you have a Duo watch out for the update for the iOS app soon!

Did not know og:video is a thing. Not widely supported. I have only seen in iMessage so far but it's a little detail which is easy to add these days. Here is the one for opendisplay.app .

I thought kero.sh was abandoned but @localhost_5173 cooked up this surprise comeback. It now has global search and resumes session on restarts. That is a game changer. Almost though kero was abandoned. But this is epic upgrade! xitter.cf/localhost_5173/status/…

Hey if anyone fancies getting OpenDisplay for android, consider joining the closed beta test via joining this Google Group. Thanks! Google requires me to run a 14 day closed beta before a public release. groups.google.com/g/opendisp…

`opendisplay` is in the official homebrew cask. I did not notice until today. @QiZhangColumbia added it. Thanks mate! Adding the `-receiver` version as well now.

Best accessory. Almost got the OB-4 but would have been overkill for my use case. This is portable, cheap and robust. Can recommend.

It's almost that time of the year again. Therefore revisiting my calender design 2027. Pretty cheesy but better than a still image, right? :)

As cool as AI is for game development, just imagine how cool it is for VR Game development. I'm starting to believe.

Sold my Quest 2 in 2023 because I was anticipating an imminent release of the Deckard. Now 3 years later tomorrow is today.

In an ideal world I could stream Steam VR Games from my ARM Arch based Mac to my ARM Arch based Steam Frame.

Is Android's QuickShare feature the better AirDrop? Just got a Android phone for testing. Also tempted to make the switch. And now realised this QuickShare feature works natively with AirDrop in my Mac and it even works almost more reliable right now.

Opus 5.5 now visualize my dreams. Built a brainwave recording device. Wearing it while sleep to record my raw dream signals. The next day this is uploaded and turned into a watchable clip by Opus 5.5 . What a time to be alive.

Antes de comprar otro monitor, mira los dispositivos que ya tienes. Un iPad guardado. Un iPhone. Incluso otro Mac. OpenDisplay los convierte en una segunda pantalla para tu Mac, por cable o WiFi. Gratis. Open source. Sin suscripción. El segundo monitor quizá ya lo tenías.
