ICYMI: Green MLA Matt MacFarlane told the @peileg he was foregoing one of his questions during question period to give the health minister @markmclanepei the opportunity to apologize for the broken campaign promise — but no apology came. #peipoli cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-ed…

PEI needed 10K new housing units over the 5 years of this program: it delivered 69. “The government has consistently overstated their commitment to addressing our housing crisis here, & they have consistently underperformed when it comes to actually getting stuff done.” #peipoli
Updated file on this. The Dept. of Housing got back to me and said 64 new units of social housing, financed/funded through the AHDP, are due to be completed by the end of 2025. But that would still leave 69 units built between Aug. 2019 and now. saltwire.com/prince-edward-i…

The delay in the report's release shows a growing lack of fiscal responsibility and transparency from @dennyking gov.

The millions of dollars (anywhere from $7.5-$8.4M!) going to the NHL belongs to Islanders and Islanders have a right to know where their $ is going. Enough with the wasteful spending and secrecy, @dennyking Islanders are fed up. @peipoli
No press release. No fawning ministerial quotes. No photos. No nothing for the biggest tourism marketing play in the history of PEI. It's a massive waste of money that benefits PC politicians but not tourism. #peipoli #tourism #waste peicanada.com/eastern_graphi…

MLA Matt MacFarlane says @InfoPEI should have taken action sooner on LTC beds. "We knew there was an aging population — that's obvious. We know what comes with an aging population: the need for more beds for long-term care and for nursing care." #peipoli

The new limit on access to internal medicine at the QEH will be devastating for Islanders who have already been struggling to get care.

From @peterbevanbaker: @MECLPEI's announcement it will spend almost half a billion on equipment upgrades is generating more questions than answers around PEI's commitment to climate action, renewable energy, and the cost to Island ratepayers. #peipoli

"It's one thing to say we offer the service here in PEI, but it's quite another to say that you're gonna have to wait 2 years to get it. And in the meantime, you're going to be completely incapacitated.” - MLA Matt MacFarlane #peipoli
While Health P.E.I. says improvements are coming in the new year, the latest batch of statistics from the health authority shows that wait times for MRI scans rose to the highest levels on record in 2024. #PEI #peipoli
