NYC just voted to END horse-drawn carriages! @NYCCouncil passed Romanch鈥檚 Law, and PETA is pledging $50,000 to help horses retire. This moment belongs to every PETA supporter who never gave up, and @SpeakerMenin and @NYCMayor for their leadership!
Council Member and bill co-sponsor @CMFrankMorano has called out the city's horse-drawn carriage industry, and when an unreasonable amendment threatened to delay the phaseout, he absolutely refused to back down!
We're SO grateful he stood up for horses when it mattered most 馃憦
This baby monkey is so tiny that they could fit in the palm of your hand 馃挃 Rather than protecting them, experimenters at @UW rip them from their mothers and torment them in tests until they tremble and shriek.
They did this to day-old babies. Take action 馃憠 peta.vg/495l
