I helped kickstart this documentary. "Liking" isn't an obvious word here but if it resonates with you, please share further. “Stop Killing our Children” on #Vimeo vimeo.com/361286029?ref=tw-s…

Of course there’s a proper name for something that surely everyone notices at some point. Thanks to #TedLasso S1E6 for enlightening me (and yes, I’m late to this excellent series)

Well worth the New Scientist subscription - I just learnt we have muscles in our middle ears, and some people (including me) can voluntarily control them. The world is an amazing place.

I’m not a football fan, but this article on food banks in Newcastle was a worthwhile read, especially with the excesses of the Christmas period.

What is more commonly known as ‘Carol of the Bells’ was originally a Ukrainian folk chant welcoming the New Year called ‘Shchedryk’. It was arranged by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych in 1916. Here it is performed by Helena Androsova. (1/3)

Idly reading the responses to Jacob’s tweet very early on Christmas morn and quite pleased if surprised to see this particular usage of the old catchphrase.
Great customer service from @schuh Kingston-upon-Thames. We had a hook break on a boot after a month, I took them to the shop and they replaced them immediately. While delighted with the service I'm hoping they are somehow repaired or recycled rather than thrown out 🤞
The Curzon Mayfair is under threat again. There's a petition on 38 Degrees to save it. It's a lovely cinema and while I'm not a local resident I've been there a few times. Definitely worth preserving:

FYI @SophosSupport - Sophos Home on M1 Mac Ventura, I couldn't connect USB accessories (SuperDrive, USB Stick, etc). I spotted a very brief "Allow accessory to connect” pop-up which immediately disappeared. Uninstalling/rebooting fixed it. I then reinstalled it continued to work.

I’ve been thinking about this piece for a year. There’s so much more I could say. The only thing that matters is that Martha should be alive today…

Great evening dancing at @Thebackroomnyc to the excellent @MsMollyRyan - a tiny dance floor but such a joy. Special thanks to the lovely person who shared their WiFi hotspot so I could @CitiBikeNYC home afterwards.
Diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage as a father of 3 young children was a wake up call to the fragility and preciousness of life. 10 years on I still have @DrHenryMarsh's business card as a both a memento mori and a bookmark. It was an extraordinary time, wishing you well Henry.
