Turns out the Telstra smart modem is kind of dumb.

In its defence it’s probably unlikely the modem would fail over to 4G due to a DNS issue - NBN was probably still ‘working’ for it. Changing DNS servers would have worked - I settled for pulling out the ethernet cable.

Hey @telstra, got an SMS saying NBN will be out 19th March or no later than 25th March. Outages site says 31 March. WFH is a thing - how can I find out?

Telstra mobile in South Gippsland is close to unusable. 3G or no service at all. Seriously hope those further east who really need it have better service from our “biggest” provider.
