Big shout-out to @roam. A teammate had a product suggestion. Nothing big - just a little idea to remove a minor, annoying point of friction that crops up most days in using Roam. I passed the suggestion along at 3:02 PM on Tuesday. It was built by 10:30 AM Wednesday. Wow.

We're slashing the company from 10k to under 6k people because AI plus tiny teams now let us do the same work with way fewer bodies, and the CEO would rather gut half the staff in one brutal move than bleed out slowly over years.

If your team is fully remote, you need @roam. Smooth, immersive, and the best remote work experience I’ve tried. I love it.

A thoughtful and detailed explanation on how the cost of tariffs is 100% (actually more like 166%) passed on to the consumer. In other words, tariffs are taxes. On us. But instead of taxing our income, it taxes a lot of what we buy. Which falls the most heavily on the poor. :-(
Some misinformation in today's US presidential debate about who bears the cost of tariffs. So let's talk about how tariffs affect what you pay for a suit. 🧵

Just saw a @sweatystartup I’ve never seen before. Shopping Cart cleaning/maintenance. I passed my Trader Joe’s. They had all the carts outside & on their side. They had a power washer & were removing all wheels to lube or replace as needed. Seems like entry cost is minimal.

I only wish I could be half as patient and 1/10th as brilliant as John Stewart. Please watch.
This conversation with @jonstewart is a brilliant demonstration of how some of our elected officials lack a data-driven or even logical approach to policy solutions they support. @TheProblem

Hey, friends! These end-of-year book roundups are MASSIVE labors of love for the sole purpose of promoting good books. There are no affiliate links or anything involved!
Each year around now, I round up all the books I reviewed in the past 12 months; as a convenience for readers and to remind myself, I don't need to feel so horribly guilty about all the books I *didn't* review (to those authors: rest assured, I still feel horribly guilty). 1/

Found this footage posted by and credited to @aliostad. A brave Ukrainian asking the stranded soldiers if he could tow them back to Russia! If that’s not the most savage maneuver ever 😆

🥲 woke up to this. No PR push, no product launch, nothing abnormal about yesterday. Sometimes you just need to listen to your audience and constantly deliver for them to spark consistent, meaningful growth 🌱 @wethosco

A catastrophic failure of US journalism and politics is that something like Biden's 10-year, $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill is not called a $350 billion annual bill...but the Pentagon's budget, which will exceed $7.5 trillion over a decade, is called a $750 billion annual bill

.@LincolnRestler any word on wether Brooklyn Heights will be getting composting?
when I asked Driver why she completely blocked the sidewalk she told me “you can’t double park on the street or trucks can’t get by.” So kind of her to accommodate the trucks while completely disregarding wheelchairs and strollers. The selfishness of some people knows no bounds.

When the driver saw me again 15 minutes later she defended her actions saying her car was too big to park anywhere else. I pointed out she could have left room for people to get by and she said she couldn’t – it was too big.
Do you think I might be the only person on the planet who cooked cranberry sauce for their family’s dinner tonight?
