“Surviving the winter”—that is what people in Bilozerka, in the south of Ukraine, hope for. Here, shelling is incessant, and 80 per cent of residents are older than 60 years. However, thanks to the Czech people, we are on hand to help them through winter.

Indeed! For children affected by conflict and hardship, education is about more than textbooks and lessons. They also need opportunities to play, connect with others, and express themselves.
