Andy Reid talked about #chiefs getting beat in all three phases. This was not coachspeak. Looking at @TruMediaSports, Seattle's 20-3 win is first time a Reid-coached team was -4.5 EPA or worse in each phase: OFF, DEF, ST TruMedia data reaches to 2000. @nflfastR has since 1999 and an #eagles loss that year to Carolina might qualify. That's the only comp for this defeat in Reid's head coaching career. An undefeated team dominated completely

The Chiefs want us to focus on "the guys playing." A trip to Seattle reminded the relevance of those who consistently are not: kansascity.com/sports/spt-co…

Patrick Mahomes needed help in Seattle. That help was sitting at home

The Seahawks demolished the Chiefs, 20-3. Here’s what might have helped.

Some 14 months ago, Felix Anudike-Uzomah lay on the turf here in Seattle, unable to walk. He needed surgery on *both* hamstrings. Football, it seemed, had quit him. But he wasn't wasn't ready to quit it yet: The unique path of a former first-round pick: kansascity.com/sports/spt-co…

The Kansas City Chiefs’ breakout player is a guy written off as a bust by many

Felix Anudike-Uzomah has a unique NFL story. A perceived draft bust usually doesn’t, well, bust out.

Processing the latest twist in the ever-curious Josh Simmons saga: kansascity.com/sports/spt-co…

Even some clarity about Chiefs’ Josh Simmons punctuates the enigma that he is

The latest news about Josh Simmons going to injured reserve underscores why it’s impossible to know when he’ll return to the Chiefs.

CB L’Jarius Sneed is not traveling with the team today (personal) but will meet the team in Seattle. Sneed’s game status remains Questionable with a knee injury. We have signed LB Cooper McDonald to the active roster. McDonald's game status has been removed. He is no longer listed as Questionable.

Patrick Mahomes says he tells a story about Allen Bailey every year. Bailey was the first person Mahomes saw in the locker room during his rookie year. “This isn’t the Big 12 anymore,” he thought.

Nobody’s winning without extra rushers more than George Karlaftis. Through Week 6, he’s pressured the QB on 22% of non-blitz rushes, the best among qualified edge rushers and about 9 points above the league average (12.9%).
