Zemo in this era is great because he’s walking the line between the impossibly hyped genius of Thunderbolts and the kind of a thruway he’s been since. A real threat to Cap but capable of error.
Not a lot of cases where a justly legendary run is followed by a writer who successfully captures the spirit and theme of it while taking the character in a completely new and unexpected direction. Nocenti is S tier.

The Chinese dub of Soundwave is a gift to humanity.🥹
Now reading- doesn’t have the direct, rapid nastiness of The Rats, I’m a most 100 pages in with no action. Herbert does have a light touch though, so all the set up never feels like a slog.
If you look at the bad takes on how tax brackets are applied in the replies, the political path of our country over the last decade starts making more sense
THE IRS JUST RELEASED THE NEW 2027 🇺🇸 TAX BRACKETS. HERE'S HOW THEY WORK IN PLAIN ENGLISH
Every bracket got a little bigger to keep up with inflation, so you can earn a bit more before moving into a higher rate.
Step 1: Take what you earn and subtract the standard deduction. That part isn't taxed at all.
- Single: $16,600
- Married: $33,200
Step 2: Whatever's left gets taxed in layers.
Single filers:
- 10% on your first $12,800
- 12% on income up to $52,025
- 22% up to $109,125
- 24% up to $208,325
- 32% up to $264,550
- 35% up to $661,375
- 37% on anything above that
Married couples: the cutoffs are roughly double ($25,600, $104,050, $218,250, $416,650, $529,100, $793,650).
Example: You're single and earn $76,600. Subtract $16,600 and you're taxed on $60,000.
- 10% on the first $12,800 = $1,280
- 12% on the next $39,225 = $4,707
- 22% on the last $7,975 = $1,755
Total: about $7,742 in federal income tax, or roughly 10% of what you earned.
Even though you're "in" the 22% bracket, only your last $7,975 gets taxed at 22%.
Interviews are story time. Learn a few stories well enough to flex them for multiple questions:
A win using the skills of the job
Showing initiative and self reliance
A screw up and what you learned
A conflict you resolved well
Doo wop was the first great musical love of my life because I watched this show, and it’s easy to see why watching it as an adult. Its not slick, overproduced and soulless, they clearly love every moment of it. Grown up kids having fun.

JOHN CARPENTER COMMENTARY: Right there, blammo. What a dumb cheap trick. Ripped it off from a Howard Hawks picture. God, this is a piece of shit.
WILLIAM FRIEDKIN COMMENTARY: That was take 57. After this scene I put a gun in Gene Hackman’s mouth for fun.
Closing one of my movie blind spots. Classic example of tonal problems, tries to be a straight heist movie but also a comedy and pulls neither off. Even the copter chase is slow, and Redford could never be the schlub Dortmunder should be. Couple of good moments, but overall 2/5

Reading about how Patrick Stewart had a mantra before stepping onto a theater stage or before doing a film take, which was he'd close his eyes, take breath, and say to himself "I don't give a f*ck." lol
Genuinely a great approach to life, understanding you don't have full control of anything, and just trying to enjoy yourself without adhering to any expectation.
RIP Sir Patrick, a real one.

I wish I could forget who bent the knee, but my memory's a little too good for that shit.
It’s a sign of how well corporate and media propaganda works that they get away with calling “doing the job you were hired and paid for” a form of quitting.
'Quiet quitting' could be hitting the economy - here's why bbc.in/4ijTORZ
