It's crazy how out of touch they are with everything. - No idea how to actually do good marketing? Thinking you need "High end CG trailers"? Just give me a shit 15-30 second ad about the game, most people don't need some crazy cinematic BS to rope me into trying a card game...

What a shame; there were so many different things I wanted to do with this game this year. I'll probably still finish the LoR competitive players analysis I've been working on, but damn if this doesn't take the wind out of my sails

So after a few weeks, the community figured out the decks that beat G.E.M.: 1: Decks in the only region with hate cards (but you can only fit two in a lineup) 2: Aatrox Reaver's Row, a sub 50% winrate deck 3: Maybe LeBlanc ED . . That's it Thank god this deck wasn't in worlds

Fun fact about 2023 LoR Worlds: I believe this is a new record for the most identical lineups, with 8 playing Jax/Ornn, Morde/Morg, and Norra/ED; just beating out EMEA's HotH Open (Eve/Diana, Reaver's CS, Reaver's Xolaani) and FV:O WQO (Formidables, Nilah/Janna, Scouts) on 7 each

Another combo deck, same discussion. I feel like people don't fundementally understand how combo decks work and even though it seems that "they are winning" in their games into instantly losing cause of "broken card" (Ezreal,Shellfolk,Karma). No, you were not winning 1/5
