I watch this at LEAST once a week. It’s unbelievable and perfect. Also turns out it’s perfectly in my range an octave down…I need to get on a cabaret stage… youtu.be/2-he6twMEF0?is=Hxr9…

Few things as useless as a wine bar. Be a restaurant with a bar or be a dive. Serve me a real meal or a bag of fritos. None of this halfway small plates only bullshit.
I knew I’d heard of the bar this amazing woman owns and I just looked it up and yep, it’s directly across the street from perhaps the most annoying coked up transplant wine bar that has ever existed in gentrified brooklyn (which is saying a lot)

Another day of outreach ed at the edges of the city. Took the 2 all the way to Brooklyn College, then took the B41 almost all the way to Floyd Bennet field. There are at least a 1,000 different New York Cities. It’s so beautiful.

If I didn’t have a bag full of Lenape artifact replicas, I’d absolutely be heading over to Barren Island to go mudlarking at the radioactive beach on Dead Horse Bay but alas!

Followed the results (and my stomach) and chose correctly! One bite in and this is already the best chowder I’ve had in the city.
Teaching this morning in south Sheepshead Bay, near Brighton. Should I walk to Cafe Kashkar (my usual) for lunch, or finally try either Randazzo’s Clam Bar or Roll N Roaster?

For the birds. NYC migration alert tonight. Lights off! Juncos and warblers will be flying south. Tonight is a big migration night for the East coast. Birds fly at night because it's cooler.

THE DEVILS was real fun! Did not expect it to be such a screwball comedy, kind of a femcel romcom. Cool as hell.

Well, I made it to intermission, but god, I forgot just HOW cramped the family circle seats are. My feet couldn’t sit flat on the floor without my knees digging into the lyric screen rail. Beautiful orchestration, but I’m headed home babes.
Francisco got us tickets to Lincoln in the Bardo at the Met tonight, and listen, I want to love contemporary opera, but I’m having a hard time mustering up the endurance to make it through three hours of angular melodies in those cramped little seats on a Monday night.

I’ve never had a bad meal at Cafe Katja on Orchard. About once or twice a year I get a real hankering for Austrian food, and it’s the best I’ve had in the city. Cafe Brume too, a bit more chichi, but I’d rate the weinerschnitzel a bit higher.

Francisco wants to see Fjord but I really think I’ll find it so tedious. Cause like idk yeah run that family out of town, give their kids to the state, irdgaf. I kinda wanna see Other Mommy instead.

I know it’s been over a decade, but Miranda Hart needs to bring back ‘Miranda’ every so often like they do with Ab Fab.

The Blasting Company is playing their music from Over the Garden Wall at Brooklyn Steel in three weeks and I’m so glad I found out about it in time I’m probably gonna cry a bunch.

I can’t think of any other place in the world where people can regularly attack American citizens, American journalists, like this and our US political and media elites say nothing. No scandal, no outrage, no calls for action or accountability.
BREAKING: Heidi Levine, a photojournalist working in the occupied West Bank with The Washington Post, has sustained injuries along with several others after being attacked by settlers during a pogrom in the village of Abu Falah. 🔴 LIVE updates: aje.news/teweeb
