Prices in general are not down. BLS CPI-U (all items, not seasonally adjusted) stood at 317.671 in January 2025 when Biden left office. By August 2026 it reached 334.980, a rise of about 5.5%. Overall prices and most grocery categories are higher; a few items like eggs are lower. The claim that prices are way down does not match the data.
