Okay this gets nuanced and will take a lot to discuss. THREAD:
First off Jeanty has superior vision than Washington and perhaps when fully healthy can break more tackles...but you will never be fully healthy playing RB in the NFL.
Washington on the other hand is the superior athlete and adds a homerun element lacking with Jeanty
Gonna go ahead and say my piece on this and I'm sure this won't age poorly:
If this was for his comments before the game, fine, I get it. If this is about the play of Jeanty vs Mike Washington, I seriously need to call into question Kubiak's ability to evaluate RB play.
If you watch these games their run scheme is an absolute disaster in execution and whenever Jeanty was on the field, he'd often face 8+ guys in the box with first level penetration. Whenever Washington was on the field teams lightened the box intentionally and this is why he was able to spring explosive runs, but he'd still struggle to create consistent gains, or force missed tackles.
The Jets game was a blowup spot for their run game. They benched JPJ for Trey Zuhn and the Jets were missing Sweat. The fact Washington couldn't force a single missed tackle in 25 attempts on top of inefficiency isn't good.
You gave Zach Charbonnet almost as many carries last year as K9. It took a season ending injury to Charbs for K9 to eclipse more than 19 attempts in a game last season. There is keeping your guys fresh and then there is just blatant misuse of talent.
The passing game is incredible and there's a reason Kubiak was held in high esteem during the coaching cycle and he has proven that just this season. Miss me with his whole comments about the run game.

To put Klint Kubiak's influence in perspective: this was a @Raiders offense that averaged 14.2 PPG last season.
The #Raiders are averaging 27.6 points per game in 2026, the 6th most in the #NFL.
27.6 is also the tied for the 4th best mark in Raiders history through the first 8 games of a season - the most since the AFC Champion Raiders in 2002.

Didn’t I say this a few weeks ago? Lol I’m hoping it works out but this is a possibility too
Today on @YahooSports Daily I asked @RashadJennings about the @raiders running back room, especially given his experience with @dmcfadden20. His answer is worth checking out

There is zero evidence that Mendozas growth is being stunted. In fact, there is incredible optimism that things are going very very well all things considered. His take is meant to piss you off. Don’t let it.

This will be #Raiders offense second game against team currently ranked in top 5 defense. They have played against one and practice every day against another in bottom five.
#Raiders QB Kirk Cousins: “Another top five defense in the league, feels like I'm saying that every week for the last several weeks. I don't know who the bottom five defenses are, but we're not playing them.”

Klint Kubiak said he "absolutely" still believes Ashton Jeanty can be a bell cow running back in the NFL:
"Ashton's a young player and has a really bright future ahead. And I'm so glad that we have him, so glad we have. Him and all these young players on our roster that are continuing to grow. And it's our job as coaches to develop them."

Kubiak said split in carries between Mike Washington Jr. and Ashton Jeanty will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis.
Christian Bale explains how Al Davis, the legendary Raiders owner, built a reputation around being feared while quietly taking care of the people who mattered to him. 🏈
Bale says Davis continued looking after people who had been part of the Raiders organization, even years after they had moved on.
But his legacy went beyond football. Davis refused to let the Raiders play in cities that segregated players and broke barriers by hiring Art Shell, Tom Flores, and Amy Trask for major leadership roles.
What makes the story even more interesting is that when people wanted to name a diversity initiative after him, Davis reportedly rejected the idea of receiving that credit.
As Bale puts it, Davis was a “great contradiction,” the kind of complicated character who could demand fear and respect while having a genuinely big heart.
Can someone be intimidating on the outside but still be a genuinely good person underneath?

Its been stated before, but alot of Klint Kubiaks presnap motion has been muddying the picture for the run unit. That being said I really need Ian Thomas to slow down here, collect the Safety, and this Power run has a chance.

Jacoby Brissett traded for the second time in his career and heads to his seventh team.
Trade: the Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a trade to send QB Jacoby Brissett to the Baltimore Ravens, per @RapSheet and me. Deal is expected to be completed this weekend.
The Ravens lost QB Lamar Jackson to a thumb injury, and his backup Tyler “Snoop” Huntley to turf toe.

RB Dylan Laube (@dylan_laube) has won AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after returning 3 kickoffs for 144 yards (48.0 avg.) and one touchdown.
Laube notched the first kickoff returned for a touchdown in the #NFL in 2026 and the first for the #Raiders since 2011.
