crypto has spent years optimizing financial frontends
we think games are a better onboarding + retention layer
and that has been the bakeland thesis from day one
play first, onchain later
Gamification of everything is equally important as tokenization of everything.
Having good and solid product is now the bare minimum.
Retaining users is going be the next big problem to solve.
The best way to retain users is giving them a gamified experience.
Not talking about a game game, but mini experiences with dopamine or core loops.
Whoever brings this to the giant crypto companies/products will be very rich.
seek and you shall find (distribution)
only on @solanamobile
after 18k+ players on Seeker, bakeland unlocks yet another entry point for power users into an mmorpg built around a real economy
apps on @solanamobile will soon have distribution across @Ledger Atom devices 📲
proud to be one of the first apps built on the mobile hardware layer of crypto!

There’s something beautiful about the most expensive game of all time ($2B) being dropped the same month that AI models became capable of creating comparable experiences.
The swan song for the Big Studio Era.

@CadeMarket seems to be doing it for predictions
what is clear however:
the future of finance is entertainment

As an efficiency freak, I still struggle to relate to people who search for ways to spend their time. At the same time, I can also see how an AI consumer product can be way more entertaining than a non-AI one.
We’ve built something in one of these red boxes which is very cool, excited to open up the gates soon.
"Most people aren't looking to save time, they're looking for ways to spend their time."

we built origins to bring a novel experimentation to @solana
a fully customizable mint experience, playable nfts, & token ownership built in
the launch was THE signal that we were onto smtg
bottomline: nfts shouldn't be just idle jpegs
they should be a part of your product
i’m pretty bullish on NFTs making a real comeback this cycle
art NFTs can have another run, but i’m more interested in how much experimentation happens around the format itself
agents, ownership, new launch mechanics and different ways to connect NFTs with onchain products all open up fresh design space
we’re still early in the broader onchain rotation, so i expect people to get a lot more creative with NFTs from here

Solana is the best place to build
After 9 days of building, iterating, and pitching in person with these founders, we're more convinced than ever
Thanks to @Solana and @SuperteamTH for making Founders Camp possible 🤍

we believe mobile games, not hyperfinancialized apps, are the perfect frontend for crypto

5 Seeker games that should not be this good.
Which one are you downloading first?
▫️@bakelandxyz : pixel MMORPG, factions raid for $BUDS, and you can go speak to Toly for cryptic riddles. Just won @magicblock Founders Camp.
▫️@raffledotsol: their Wager game is blowing up right now: simple mystery-box style pick, easy to pick up, hard to stop.
▫️@GORECATS: clear Catsburg of mutant motorcycle cats 🏍️🐱, new game coming very soon.
▫️@mattlefun: wave-survival arcade, trading volume = in-game stat boosts. Just dropped a new skin system.
▫️@PumpvilleWorld: social pixel MMO with crafting & PvP. New raid boss just dropped.

thank you @PiccoGabriele @exoaursen @themoe for insightful QnA and taking time to help out founders.
congratulations to the winners:
@Jonas14158 for building pumpfun for casino games! everyone can open a cool casino game onchain & be the house now.
@xbitstudio is probably the coolest set of ppl building games in this space. solana only needs one csgo or valo to take off & I'm all for it.
@looftapay for building venmo for emerging markets. love the idea of making fintechs interoperable with crypto.
