I am frustrated with the MH signal of ‘it is ok to not be ok’ I think this is wrong. The msg should be ‘it is ok to ask for help’ or ‘to say I am not ok’ rather than feeling not ok, being ok. Because it isn’t and needs sorting quickly. Something gets big very quickly. Change ok!
Does anyone have experience with the Educational Leadership qualification inc accreditation with GTCS?

Happy Yorkshire Day! Here’s two of the county’s most famous sons. Yes, one is a bit more famous than the other! James Mason, born in Huddersfield, was an avid collector of Peter Brook’s work with some 30 paintings, which the Hollywood film star always said reminded him of home.

On a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon here’s one of probably no more than a handful of seascapes painted by Peter Brook. ‘Land’s End’ was almost certainly painted while on holiday in Cornwall, often staying in the cottage of collector Rodney Bewes, aka ‘Likely Lad’ Bob FerrIs.
The new episode of Head Shoulders Tea and Toast - an excellent listen for all involved and interested in education.

This was the single worst "best practice" I was advised to use as a new teacher. The next year I came in on Day One with 50+ classroom rules on chart paper and spent two full days of class going over them. It was an orderly and productive year.

NEW 5 principles of effective questioning
Questioning is so woven into teaching that it’s easy to stop noticing it. Weak questioning gives us the illusion of learning whereas effective questioning makes thinking visible, expands students’ horizons & provides feedback to teachers on how to Improve further. open.substack.com/pub/davidd…
This time a month ago I was so happy and excited about the future. Then George (my cat) peed all over my bag, packed and ready for a weekend away. All the feels have come at me since then. Trees don’t grow to the sky and storms don’t rage forever.

The title was always an integral part of Peter Brook’s work. In ‘Hey Up! - An Early Morning Jet Plane - Arriving in Manchester - And an Early Lamb in Bacup’ it draws attention to the faint vapour trail in the sky and the new-born lamb, both of which might otherwise be missed.
