Hey Verizon! Day 6 of posting until you do something to improve service in Griggs County, ND. I made one phone call this morning and it failed about 2 minutes into it. You’re 100% at inadequate service today. Please repost if you have terrible service. @VerizonSupport @Verizon

Sixty years ago, many North Dakota landowners signed wetland easements with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, trusting the agency would be a good and fair partner. That trust has been violated. The federal government’s overreach on these easements has been egregious and devastating for several generations of farmers and landowners. In many cases, it has resulted in worse—not better—soil quality and habitat. Thanks to Secretary Doug Burgum and Sen. Kevin Cramer, we are finally getting all the players around the table to understand what has been going on and recognize that these landowners do not want to drain wetlands. They simply want rules that reflect the terms of their original contracts and the ability to manage the land they own and pay taxes on to achieve better outcomes for both wildlife and agriculture. Wildlife, sportsmen, and conservation groups are really listening, and that is encouraging. If all the players continue to operate in good faith, this will be a win for everyone—landowners, sportsmen and women, farmers, ranchers, and, yes, ducks. Great momentum—let’s get this done!

Hey Verizon! Day 4 of posting until you do something to improve our cell phone reception. Yesterday you offered to sell us a signal booster, on top of the $400/m we pay, but didn’t have any in stock. Thanks but no thanks. @VerizonSupport @Verizon

Joined a roundtable today with @SenJohnHoeven , @RepFedorchak , @NDagriculture Commissioner Goehring today hosted by @SecretaryBurgum to gather information from local landowners and discuss potential solutions to landowners’ concerns. I’m convinced there are no biologists, chemists, geologists, or anyone else who can match the enormous intellectual understanding of how all this works more than the landowners, the farmers, and the generations of people who have farmed the land. The wrap-up is simply that progress is being made. I’m encouraged by it, and I hope you are as well. I’m looking forward to an outcome that allows me a little room to loosen up on some of the holds I have on people that the administration wants confirmed. Thank you @VCSU for hosting us.

It was an honor to join the @NDNationalGuard for the promotion of Todd Schaffer to the well-earned rank of Brigadier General.   Todd has served in the North Dakota Army National Guard since 1990, dedicating more than three decades to our state and nation. His promotion recognizes this record of distinguished service and leadership. Thank you, Todd, and to all the men and women who serve North Dakota and our country.

My dad built the boys their own work benches. Now they are shopping for tools. Biased, but they turned out great and will last forever. #hofffamily

I’m enjoying the Precip app, built by a few ex-Farmlogs engineers/founders. Simple, shows me what I want to see, and zero ads

Most farmers I know have a ton of paper documents. Just a few examples: invoices, fertilizer records, crop plans, grain marketing contracts, etc. Paperless NGX is an open-source document storage platform that converts all of your documents and their contents into a digital format (using OCR to read text and even handwriting). But in my opinion, it's missing two things: 1. Semantic search that finds results based on meaning and topic, rather than exact keyword matches. 2. Connectivity with AI tools. So we've built a free tool that we're giving away to the Fullstack Ag community, and we're calling it Paperless Ag. It combines semantic search with an MCP. It's taking us a little longer than what I was hoping for, but we should have it launched to the community this week.

Big shoutout to Carrington public school for their patriotic themed spring concert. Gave recognition to all the veterans in attendance, and taught the kids the reason behind the flag. 🇺🇸
