@rimmellondon 🧵 epic fail ... Loved this Scandal'Eyes bronze pencil eyeliner; soft, smudgy, waterproof... til I tried to sharpen it.
Tried a proper makeup pencil sharpener ... Nope. Broke the surviving bit of pencil off.
Tried a regular pencil sharpener ... Nope. Zero effect.
Tried whittling it down with a sharp penknife on a chopping board ... Nope. Might just as well have used a butter knife.
Although product itself is lovely, the hard plastic barrel it's presented in appears to be made of Kevlar.
Not fit for purpose - back to @BootsUK for refund.

🧵M&S Brighton today:
There's a queue in the ladies dressing room.
Two work men walk straight in, talking.
One takes a pass key, unlocks and opens one of the changing room doors.
Without knocking.
👇
The undressed woman inside is understandably shocked, judging by the sound she made.
I try telling him 'you've frightened her -'
He talks over me 'those changing rooms are supposed to be locked off'
Her from behind her relocked door 'the assistant showed me in here!'
👇
#UniversityChallenge I got one right tonight. Nobody else got it. Tenniel. I can relax ...
I'm representing the Campaign Against Painful Hysteroscopy at Unison's Annual Health Care Conference in Brighton on April 8th and 9th.
Hysteroscopy is an excellent tool for diagnosing womb cancer and for treating womb conditions such as polyps.
🧵👇
It can be extremely painful if carried out without anaesthetic.
Women have the RIGHT to decent, humane pain control for what can be frightening, upsetting and painful surgery.
Yet NHS policy is to pressurise women into consenting to it with zero anaesthetic - to save money.
👇
1/3 of women who were operated on without anaesthetic report suffering pain levels of 7/10 +.
This is wrong on all levels. CAPH is working to end this policy & ensure choice & pain control for all in what can be a life saving procedure.

The comments under this jaunty sanitised vid on uterine biopsy - #gynaecology surgery typically carried out with no anaesthetic at all and frequently no proper warning, explanation or informed consent - are very telling.

I'm #Over50 & one of the #WASPI #1950swomen disrespected & shunned by @RishiSunak @Conservatives. Our #DWP #StatePension scandal's been ignored. Now, with a #GeneralElection coming, he's telling us he's on our side? That's huge insult heaped on massive injury. @WASPI_Campaign

"You still feel like you’ve been lied to, treated like a farm animal and denied any kind of pain relief."
Two weeks ago we published an investigation into the pain many women face when undergoing hysteroscopies. Here are some of your responses ⤵️

Don't miss @BBCDoctors on Weds 3rd at 1.45. One of the GPs has an agonisingly painful #NHSGIRFT outpatient #hysteroscopy.
It's time for GPs to know that 1 in 3 suffer SEVERE pain during OPH but the waiting time for general anaesthetic for routine hysteroscopy is up to a year!

Wow, what a Christmas Special! No spoilers but West Horsley Place was transformed for the final scene.
Unfortunately, the reality is different.
Just like Button House, West Horsley Place needs a helping hand.

When Junior Doctors are on £16 an hour and MP's are on £46 an hour.
And raising the Junior Doctors pay by £4 an hour is unaffordable, even though they just raised MP's pay by £5 an hour.
It's hard not to see the lie.
RT if Junior Doctors NEED paying.
