On the MLB Playoffs: 1) they need to reseed after the Wild Card round so the bracket isn't so lopsided 2) the 3rd place division winner shouldn't be guaranteed a home series 3) I know it's for TV scheduling, but weekday afternoon games not being sellouts is a bad look

As a Toronto Blue Jays fan this year has reminded me how much I hate being in the AL East. The AL Central hasn't been great but at least it produced two decent-ish teams. The AL West is awful to the point where MLB might reconsider playoff/divisional format.

I feel it's not ridiculous to say this entire Toronto Blue Jays season would have been different if Barger didn't get hurt, twice. Oh how this team would have looked with a left-handed power bat that could play the outfield well. Him versus Sanchez is like 5 wins.

I laugh at the idea that the NFL is framing the demise of the Pro Bowl as the first step for each league getting rid of their All-Star game. No, the Pro Bowl was a joke for decades. NBA is closest due to players not giving a shit. NHL and MLB at least somewhat try.

The NFL Pro Bowl died because no sane player would risk injury (and vast amounts of wealth) on a meaningless game played after their season was over. They've had to invite players who, at best, were the 10th option to even show up.

Seriously, for as much as Pinango was afraid of the ball, at least he didn't look completely lost. Schneider might not have the best bat but he'd have made that play in his sleep. It's a playoff race, the Blue Jays cannot afford Sanchez playing like this.

Imagine a Blue Jays season where Barger doesn't get hurt and Sanchez rightfully doesn't get in the field as much. The team might have five more wins.

Very rarely do I think a player should be DFA'd, Jesus Sanchez needs to go. The Blue Jays cannot afford to keep him in the field. The dude might be the worst outfielder I have ever seen.

Why do I get the feeling that within a couple of days Pablo Torre is going to do a show that will become legendary.

If Corbin pitches for the Blue Jays on Canada Day there might be riots.

When Varsho and/or Barger are back the Toronto Blue Jays will need to have a tough think about what to do with Sanchez, because his offensive skill set is redundant, and his defence is the worst on the team by a mile. I'd easily keep Pinango ahead of him.

In the next little while the Blue Jays will need to find spots for Barger and Lukes. While it will require a couple of DFAs, those spots should absolutely be those of Sosa and Sanchez. Schneider at least has defensive flexibility and provides way more competitive ABs than Sosa.

If Lauer complains about not starting... I would not be surprised if Lauer gets an "arm fatigue" IL trip tomorrow. The Blue Jays cannot keep throwing him out there with performances like this becoming routine.

The Toronto Blue Jays better have a Big Oak's Quesadilla stand at the Rogers Centre within a month. It's such a perfect opportunity to embrace a new star and give the fans delicious food. Who doesn't love a quesadilla?!

Tyler Heinamen is having a hell of a couple of days... Like, I know it's April, but he's literally thrown away two Blue Jays games.

So tomorrow the Blue Jays just put Brendon Little on the IL with "arm discomfort" or literally anything? Dude looked great in Spring, but the second the lights came back on he's just lost it.

In a few weeks when the Blue Jays get more comfortable with the challenge system games like today's will be interesting. Vlad had a bad early challenge. There were at least a dozen later times someone should have challenged but didn't. Ump's zone was wide as hell all night.

We all knew Buck Martinez was going to retire soon, but it's still a bit sad that we won't get his voice covering the Blue Jays anymore. A legend who deserves to be in the Level of Excellence.

I'm curious what Sportsnet does to fill the void that Buck leaves. Of the two obvious choices I prefer Caleb Joseph for the energy he brings. I think Joe Siddall works better next to Jamie to provide analysis.

I doubt MLB will actually get a hard cap, but perhaps increase luxury taxes to like NBA levels to possibly stop the Dodgers from just exploiting their ability to print money? Something to where Tucker's 60m would cost them 300m in tax?
