Maybe hire the engineer to rework and fix it, find why others failed. Then redesign the building to withstand the circumstances and also look good. I would hire multiple other engineers who specialise in safety, fireproofing etc does that mean its not MY work??? +

The same way phineas could have come up with the original idea of AI and he failed. Jocasta's research didn't go anywhere. Tony stark probably thought he could restart and fix it and create a functional AI. HE DID. Not just one but was successful in creating multiple.
