Life pro tip. Not enough people talk about this. The secret to having a "fulfilling" life is doing new things. Radically doing new things. Consistently. Every day. New activities, people, goals, even something as simple as trying new foods. Life feels longer when you're a kid because every day is packed with almost infinite amount of new learning. As you get older, you've already acclimated to your environment, the new inputs stop, so your perception of time speeds up drastically. You fall into routine, which is a time accelerant. If you want to feel like you have a long infinite lifespan, like you did as a child, you MUST be having new experiences, which slows time down.

this picture popped up today as a camera roll flashback for December
This was 6 years ago, December 2nd (because it was 2 in the morning of the 1st)
I was a sophomore in college. stayed in that night w two of my close friends as opposed to going out to party with everyone else
this was the night that started it all.
I hated college and going to class, it all felt so stupid
That football season hadn’t gone the way I wanted, dealt with a number of injuries that lingered and kept me at 60% of myself physically
And I was dealing with my Graves’ disease, kept having to face all these health issues
I’d had enough.
I’d been going down somewhat of a “spiritual” journey, something inside me just kept telling me there was more to life
seeing the writing on the wall for the internet and how things were shifting
and decided in that moment, at 2 am, that I was gonna drop out and go create my own path where I would build a life that I WANT for myself, not one that everyone else wants for me or that is safe
I thought to and told myself I would rather sleep on the beach and fail for 20 years trying to succeed, than just accept all the bullshit that the modern world was and is
and it was the best decision I’ve ever made
In hindsight I could have stayed in school, vs moving to Florida and putting that pressure on myself
But I’m an all in or all out kinda guy. I needed the boats to burn & commit
Since then I feel like I’ve lived 30 years in these 6 years
Had so many amazing experiences
So many moments of paralyzing stress
Overall though I’m so thankful for the journey itself.
Been in horrible shape, been an absolute unit
I’ve been legit broke w zero in my account and rent due, and I’ve either built or been apart of multiple 6/7 figure companies
I’ve been so isolated I flirted with insanity, and had incredible memories with tons of dope people all over the world
Ultimately there’s no lesson here other than there is a journey calling your spirit, a path that only you are capable of walking. you’re meant to be a 1 of 1. idk who needs to hear this today, but make the decision to LAUNCH yourself at the life that makes you excited to live. take the risk. be smart ofc, but stop just “existing” and command more from yourself, demand that you become all that you are capable of ⚡️
