Massive congrats to @FishLegal_ @pickeringfish when I filmed at Costa beck what I witnessed & filmed underwater was truly appalling, despite being waste deep in sewage and silt , pleased to have supported this through my filming. Costa beck was the pinnacle of grayling fishing

I'll be asking about the idiotic Labour appeal re #CostaBeck today in a Lords' Lib Dem debate on the growing challenges of the effects of climate change on natural ecosystems.
And I've warned the Minister I'll be raising it so she is forewarned and can give me a proper answer.
14/1/25. England. Ministers to appeal against river pollution ruling won by Yorkshire anglers. High court ruled government wasn't meeting legal duty to clean up Costa Beck. Extraordinary that both Labour & Conservative ministers should do this

1 of 2 Did you all watch Joe Lycett Vs Sewage tonight/last night? If not, why not! We've all got to put the pressure on the water companies, DEFRA the EA, Government, and our politicions, which included our local councillors to hold these companies to account.

We're back in the High Court with @pickeringfish
on Monday for another showdown with @DefraGovUK and @EnvAgency.
In November, we got a judgment that questioned the Government's entire approach to river basin management planning.
Wonder if they'll try to appeal...

Yorkshire. May not look much but when the river is in flood this gets taken downstream, eventually ending up in the sea. We are now filming river plastics and garbage when we are filming underwater. The problem I feel is getting worse

May not look much, small items like this do travel down our river systems on a regular basis. Our actions on this amazing planet are having a massive impact on the wildlife. We will be filming plastic/garbage on all our filming locations this year. @lillyspickup #PlasticPollution

Plastic pollution is big news at the moment, and rightly so. But most of the focus is on the marine consequences, despite the fact that at least 70% of ocean plastic originates in rivers. This is happening in our own backyards. Please be aware and share:
