Hiện tại, Stellar Environment đang sử dụng Giao thức phiên bản 22, trong khi Pi Network vẫn đang sử dụng Giao thức phiên bản 19 (Mạng mở giới hạn). Môi trường sao (Horizon): github.com/stellar/quicks… Nếu Hợp đồng thông minh được bật, Pi Network phải sử dụng Giao thức phiên bản 20. Giao thức này tương đương với Giao thức phiên bản 22 trong Môi trường Stellar sử dụng Hợp đồng thông minh Soroban (Stellar RPC), cũng sẽ được Pi Network sử dụng.
