"best practices" are only good for preventing horrible mistakes — and that's worthwhile! but while best practices stop you from falling on your face, they don't help you kick ass. they're a minimum, not a maximum, and not a goal

A marketing/business game changer for me: Stop blindly doing “best practices” and initiate practices that work best for you. Some of you are just doing things for the sake of doing because some “leader” said you should but it’s not working for you. So why continue to do it?
