Meet MAGAt and J6 insurrectionist Peter Francis Stager. Before he cemented his name in one of the darkest chapters of American history, Stager was a commercial truck driver from Conway, Arkansas. On January 6, 2021, he abandoned his route to join the violent mob descending on the United States Capitol, playing a central and brutal role in the breach of the Capitol grounds. His actions quickly made him a prime target for federal law enforcement, leading to his arrest by the FBI just days later on January 14, 2021.
On January 6, 2021, Stager positioned himself outside the Capitol's lower west terrace tunnel, where some of the most vicious hand-to-hand combat took place. When a Metropolitan Police Department officer was dragged down the steps and into the hostile crowd by rioters, Stager used a flagpole flying the American flag to repeatedly beat the defenseless, downed officer. Shortly after the assault, Stager was captured on video declaring that the lawmakers trapped inside the building were "treasonous traitors" and stating that "death is the only remedy."
The legal fallout for Stager was severe. He faced multiple federal counts and ultimately pleaded guilty on February 16, 2023, to a felony charge of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers using a deadly or dangerous weapon. On July 24, 2023, a federal judge sentenced him to 52 months in prison, followed by 36 months of supervised release. Stager served a portion of his time before being released early under the First Step Act on October 21, 2024. His legal accountability was permanently erased on January 20, 2025, when Donald Trump issued him a full presidential pardon immediately upon taking office.

New records show the company that owned a vacant private prison in Appleton, Minnesota offered to sell it to the state in 2025 for $75 million. One year later, the Trump administration agreed to use TAXPAYER funds to buy the same abandoned prison from CoreCivic Inc for a whopping $495.6 million. 🤬 See article in comments ⬇️
