Today is International E-Waste Day. 🌍📱
Did you know that 44% of surveyed Irish people admitted discarding a fast tech device unused, after one use, or within a month of purchase?
Before you throw away unwanted electronics, ask: can it be repaired, reused, donated or recycled?♻️

They'll be all gone in Ireland too & people will ask what happened & I will say, we tried, we pushed, you argued against us, you were swayed by big business & tech bros, you wouldnt listen. 63% of 🇮🇪's wild bird populations are in trouble. Please listen.

E is for Energy Efficiency ⚡
Energy efficiency is one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways to reduce emissions.
Five ways to reduce emissions include switching to LED light bulbs, improving insulation and sealing draughts, making the most of your heating controls, switching off appliances instead of leaving them on standby, and washing clothes at lower temperatures while only running full loads.

BREAKING: Northern Ireland Environment Agency pulls water pollution limits set for Dalradian gold mine, telling public inquiry chiefs they got them wrong. Asks (rather angry) PAC carry on regardless.

🌍 D is for Decarbonising
Reducing carbon emissions is key to tackling climate change and building a sustainable future. Tullamore is the Decarbonising Zone for County Offaly.
Decarbonising Zones are important for demonstrating how local climate action can reduce emissions, enhance biodiversity, improve resilience and support the transition to a low-carbon future.
The Tullamore Decarbonising Zone serves as a testbed for innovative projects and initiatives that can be scaled up and replicated across the county.🌱
