Idk, there's super obvious history between her, Robby, and Abbot, but her dynamic with Jack is a lot more....mm explosive and memorable shall we say lmfao. But there's definitely an established/long-standing work dynamic with Robby, too and I would enjoy a lil more of it.

when fic writers say they miss the engagement they literally mean that one comment they randomly get that says "i stayed awake to unreasonable hours to finish this fic, that was the best thing i've read in months" that will give them motivation to write for the next weeks to come

Mel in s1 stuck to following rules/her seniors. Engineering a procedure she KNEW the boy's mother didn't consent to was right + likely saved his life. But was also against the rules/Robby's advice. It's the first big choice she put herself out there on, and she got sued for it-

-I think it makes sense she's now torn between doing what she feels/her gut instinct tells her is right vs what the rules and protocols (which are there for good reasons) say is right. Understanding herself/own identity is also key to making (and being ok with) those choices.

I need to stop swan diving down the 'this was right/wrong' rabbit holes in the Pitt. Bc: NOTHING is ever fully right or fully wrong. So regardless of which 'side' you take, canon supports it. So they never lead anywhere. Instead I want to steer towards the 'why'. MUCH juicier.

to (hopefully) raise the spirits of my fellow #robbylangdon peeps, have a snippet of a whumpy hurt/comfort fic I'm working on for them involving: Frank's very bad no good spine and Robby's very bad no good day.
“Langdon, what did you take?” Robby demands, raking back the resident’s eyelids to check pupil response, brain cycling through a thousand possibilities a second, each worse than the last. “Langdon?” Robby yells, professional practices and standard procedures fleeing him in his desperation for an answer, a clue, anything that will help him save his golden boy. “Langdon answer me!” he half begs, half orders, gripping him by the shoulders, terror making him rougher than he should be as he turns the prone body towards him. “what the fuck did you–” Frank screams. Frank screams and it is one of the worst things Robby has ever heard. In a hell of his own making, he'd be tortured endlessly with echoes of the awful, crackling, rasping final gasps of air forced in and out of his beloved mentor's body. Gunshots he never heard but which he hears night after night after night after night, tearing holes through the hearts of everyone he loves. And this. This raw, broken scream of complete agony

Robby had NOTHING to do with her sickle cell patient diagnosis - he only pushed Samira to: please stop delaying and please perform the necessary intubation before said patient dies. I have acknowledged Robby was wrong on the mercury poisoning? They are both wrong sometimes.

If she had listened to robby, both the sickle cell anemia patient and the mercury poisoning patient would have been misdiagnosed. The fact is robby was wrong. Samira was right. You can always get the worst takes on pitt/samira from someone whose bio says "eternal Pitt brainrot".

One of the most delicious character creation things, to me (which the Pitt does very well btw) is where you give a character a trait which is both their greatest strength AND their greatest flaw. Absolutely 10/10, no notes, I'll take 12.
