An important reason the West needs a more honest account of power is so that our elites are less delusional. For example the myth that the people can rise up against the government is directly responsible for U.S. elites honestly expecting authoritarian regimes to fall if we bomb their civilians.

Tim Dillon on MAGA: “It’s the greatest con in history, truly. To run as America First and you’re gonna take care of America and then turn around and go all of these things daycare, Medicare, we have nothing to do with that, we’re fighting wars. It is the greatest scam in history”

The objective of the war has become undoing the consequence of the war. The stupidest war in history.

A major reason that the creators of today’s “AIs” won’t call the technology what it most fundamentally is (advanced compression and pseudo-retrieval) is because doing so makes the IP theft too obvious. Instead, if you insert—a la underpants gnomes—a magical intermediate step in which source data is alchemized into an “intelligence”, it’s far easier to argue you’re doing something other than stealing everyone’s data and charging for access to it via a novel interface.

It's true. A corrupt dictator is standing in the way of peace in Ukraine. He has conscripted hundreds of thousands of boys and men who have been maimed and killed. He has used this war to advance his personal political ambitions. He has banned opposition parties and removed political opponents. He has outlawed all media that is critical of his decisions. His irresponsible behaviour is threatening world peace and making a nuclear conflagration more likely. His name is Vladimir Putin.

Unless one goes out of their way to curate their information environment, they interact with little to no timeless knowledge while being exposed to an infinite stream of rapidly expiring information, much of it propaganda.

Our Brooklyn jiu jitsu chat has been discussing an NYC subway "incident" where a former jiu jitsu trainee, was attacked by a passenger during morning rush hour. Guy slapped his glasses off, after which our friend proceeded to double leg him and hold him in the mount position until the cops met them at the next station. The jiu jitsu guy was surprised that fellow passengers tried to help his assailant as soon as he was no longer a threat to them. I am not surprised. The mindset in New York goes well beyond electing a "woke" DA winning a Democratic primary. Thankfully the man's initial slap was caught on video, so our friend didn't get charged with anything.

Feminization of institutions entails neotenization of culture. Doubly true when child-rearing instincts are delayed or rejected, leading to projection of those tendencies upon non-familial social spaces.

Two Americas: > The Bears fired their coach for misplaying the last 0:30 of a football game. > No senior military or civilian officials have been fired for the catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal. Accountability matters.

I’m stunned. Apple just released the single greatest pro-parenting ad in the history of American advertising. The pro-family cultural revolution is here. Watch. Try not to cry…

'School' is going to be a return to the aristocratic tutor era of a humanoid bot teaching your kid three languages at age 6, and walking them through advanced topics per child interest (and utterly ignoring cookie-cutter mass curricula), and it's going to be magnificent.

🚨🇺🇸 THE $35 TRILLION CRISIS: WHY ELON AND VIVEK'S "DOGE" IS AMERICA'S LAST CHANCE Trump has given Elon and Vivek until July 4th, 2026 - America's 250th birthday - to radically transform how our government spends its $6.5 trillion annual budget. The timing isn't random - it's a calculated deadline as America faces unprecedented fiscal challenges: BY THE NUMBERS: - Debt doubled to $35.46T since 2015 - Interest rates jumped to 3.32% - Interest payments now exceed $1T annually - Debt-to-GDP ratio at critical 124% The DOGE team will have just 18 months to: - Audit $1.72T in Health & Human Services spending - Review $1.52T in Social Security expenditures - Streamline $1.32T in Treasury payments - Identify waste across all federal agencies Elon's real-time transparency approach, combined with Vivek's regulatory expertise, aims to deliver "a smaller Government, with more efficiency and less bureaucracy" as America's 250th birthday gift. With interest payments now exceeding our entire military budget ($826B), the deadline reflects the urgency of our fiscal crisis. The July 4th, 2026 deadline isn't just patriotic symbolism - it's a race against time to prevent America's fiscal collapse. Source: Fox, U.S. Treasury Dept. @VivekGRamaswamy
🚨🇺🇸 ELON AND VIVEK'S "DOGE" MISSION: EXPOSING GOVERNMENT WASTE IN REAL-TIME In what might be the most refreshing approach to government reform yet, Elon and Vivek are bringing radical transparency to federal spending through their new Department of Government Efficiency ("DOGE"). According to Elon's latest post on X, they'll publicly post all actions online and even create a "leaderboard" of the most wasteful spending. The timing is striking - a new GAO(Government Accountability Office) report just revealed billions in government waste through mismanaged assets, hiring irregularities, and inadequate oversight. Elon and Vivek's approach seems tailored to address these exact issues, combining Elon's tech efficiency with Vivek's regulatory expertise. What makes this different from previous reform attempts? The real-time transparency and public feedback loop. "Anytime the public thinks we are cutting something important or not cutting something wasteful, just let us know!" Elon posted, suggesting a crowdsourced approach to identifying waste. Trump has compared it to the Manhattan Project for its potential impact. While critics might dismiss it as theatrical, the combination of entrepreneurial efficiency and public accountability could represent a genuine paradigm shift in how government operates.
