Personal story from me on #Newsnight later & one close to my heart. Talking with my mother about my aunt taking her own life & how some ethnicities reluctant to discuss mental health as seen as weakness & personal failing. Here’s a snippet .. Not an easy one

British citizens using peaceful protest to ask politicians for a “full ceasefire” or “humanitarian pause” for aid, is not fascism
The Home Secretary, Suella Braverman’s, attempts to end citizens’ rights to do that, sounds worryingly like it could be ….

I started in this shop within a few weeks of coming to UK from Afghanistan, so eager to work and study to have a new life away from conflict and contribute to the people who had given me sanctuary.
The shopkeeper gave me a job with no experience and not much command of English. He wanted to support me, my family, and help me study. He also got me a praying matt!
Now, I see the same compassion being received by other refugees and migrants in our communities, helping them integrate.
Let's not forget that the majority in our society are welcoming people who are extending their humanity and warmth to migrants every day.

When you’re already tired of calling out people for copying your reels/tiktoks shot for shot & word for word. You now have newspapers ripping off your entire tiktok as an article. Yes I’ve been tagged, but no permission @Daily_Express is this the laziest form of journalism EVER?!

Loved reading this by @georgiapudding. Proud to have been one of these scruffy brits. Walked into the writers room a TV rookie & ended up writing an episode. It was a really warm place. Succession changed my career, I loved the show & I'll miss it so much

It’s so wiggly 🥰 Feeding my Khichi obsession one mouthful at a time. Have you tried it? A Gujarati classic. These steamed Indian rice dumplings are soft and chewy in texture. I dip them in achaar masala and the most delicious garlic butter to finish.
