Reactive Strength Index (RSI): Measures how quickly you can absorb force and reapply it with a short ground-contact time (elastic, spring-like responsiveness, e.g., pogo hops or drop jumps)
Developing acceleration is the single most critical factor for success in field, court, and team sports. While top-end velocity is highly valued, athletes in open-skill sports like soccer, basketball, football, and rugby rarely reach their absolute maximum speed. PLAYFAST
Don’t lose all the off season power/speed improvements you made when you need it most. 1 - 2 times a week is sufficient.
At PLAYFAST our training focuses on improving POWER, Rate of Force Development, Speed and overall athleticism. The majority of our athletes get their max effort (heavy lifts) at school and what we do compliments those lifts.

Aired Last Night. AM54 is a great athletic talent but an outstanding young man who is humble, focused and hard working…
Thanks to local CBS (sports) news for stopping by this AM. Interview with Detroit Lions DT Alim McNeill will air tonight. Anthony Belton and Xavier Hasan’s will air in upcoming weeks.
Speed Reserve = Improve your Max Speed and that will improve your “conditioning”. IMO No need for endless (sub maximal 110s) and gassers which we really tap into recovery, make you slower and increase risk of injury.
2 athletes received wrist bands today. All Conference QB from AFHS, Ethan McGarrigan ran 1.04 (19 MPH band), Apex HS SS/LB Ethan Francois ran 1.06 (19 MPH band). Congrats!
Pittsburgh Steelers SS Devan Boykin. Devan won a national championship last year at IU. Now he’s with the Steelers.
