"the moment i saw your eyes, i had already made my choice"
the first time, those beloved eyes held no recognition, yet lu guang chose to stay by his side.
the second time, he watched the light leave those same eyes & chose to chase him through time, refusing to lose him again.

"every moment brings the trio closer to a future of their own" see it means they'll have a future together in the end in other words lu guang won't be gone forever

and another reason why lu guang never told cheng xiaoshi the truth about meeting as kids is because he knows how empathetic and sensitive cxs is. lg knows that cxs will still blame himself regardless of the fact that it was out of his control.

for some reason i can't in any way imagine lu guang liking a woman romantically, but i can picture cxs having a crush on a girl back in highschool days before meeting lg again and falling for him

а что если у лу гуана фикса на кошачьих штуках (типа котика на его пижаме или кепки с ушками) появилась именно после того как ещё микробышем чэн сяоши сравнил того котёнка с плёнки с ним

btw im never getting over lu guang using cheng xiaoshi's own words to comfort him in his song.
"he would surely choose the moment that best captures cxs's essence" he knows him as someone who carries light and gives those very words back to him when he needs them most
