Bro, where is this discourse coming from? Did we watch the same show? Rachel is constantly punished for her behavior. She's criticized, suspended, and nearly loses her career. Narrative consequences don't require someone to spell out "you're bad" on screen.
Some of you really don't understand storytelling. Rachel is never portrayed as a saint; the very first scene paints her as obsessive and impulsive and the show treats her that way throughout. The point is that she's also passionate and sincere, and she grows from her mistakes.

You say Rachel is selfish and egocentric, but to me, she's a saint for enduring friends who bullied her throughout high school, and mocked her dreams while depended on her to succeed. I'd have cut off that entire Glee club for much less. Santana would be homeless.

It's actually funny how this fandom loves to overanalyze every character's action and find complex off-screen justifications to excuse characters who were simply created to be a bit of a jerk, but when it comes to clearly textual insecurities, everyone is blind.
