Lord Frost on Puberty Blockers - & the impact of the draft Conversion Practices Bill. Medically align a child's body with their gender identity? "I cannot imagine circumstances in which we would ever want to do this." Thank you @DavidGHFrost 3/

As always @jk_rowling nails it. “It’s true, of course, that trans activism doesn’t impact all women negatively. In fact, the more privileged you are, the less it tends to affect you, and the more it might benefit you. Aside from an avalanche of death, rape and torture threats, it hasn’t noticeably affected my life. Nor does it hurt wealthy women who repost the vogueish mantras while sitting in dressing rooms guarded by private security guards. It doesn’t hurt women in the upper echelons of media, publishing and academia, who don’t need a changing room at work and who feel a snobbish disdain for working class women who don’t want to strip off in front of heterosexual males who’ve ‘identified’ into the women’s changing room. Trans activism doesn’t hurt headline-hungry female politicians whose attitude to women’s rights is ‘whatever is good for me personally’. On the contrary, trans activism has been good for those women. It’s fashionable, and keeps them popular with their progressive tribe, and costs them, personally, absolutely nothing.”

The BBC says JK Rowling is a ‘polarising’ figure. Really? Her views on biological sex are backed by the vast majority of people and by scientific fact. The Beeb’s trans activism has destroyed its credibility, says Malcolm Clark buff.ly/CiwqqtS

The more I've worked on this project for @crossway, the more I've become convinced that the New Testament use of the Old dismantles the case for slow incremental development and utterly vindicates "early high Christology." Here we have Peter (casually!) replacing YHWH with Christ, in a passage that's not even making a wider point about Christology.

I've just signed this petition asking the Government to publish a clear timetable and approval route for supervised self-driving like Tesla FSD. It never gets tired or distracted, and the driver stays in charge. Fewer crashes means less pressure on the NHS. Please sign 👇 > petition.parliament.uk/petit… > #FSD #Tesla #RoadSafety

The SNP Finance Secretary @JennyGilruthMSP should watch this and learn. The SNP seems to think it can keep ratcheting up taxes and there will be no consequences. That is economically reckless. Push tax rates too far and people change their behaviour, investment goes elsewhere, businesses hold back and the tax base shrinks. Arthur Laffer understood that decades ago. The SNP’s Finance Secretary should catch up.
At the end of a momentous week, here’s a final video, of @realartlaffer explaining the Laffer Curve, as we walked from a meeting in Parliament to a podcast recording at the QEII Centre. It was an honour and privilege to host Dr Laffer in London this week.

The moment the UK Parliament rejected the assisted suicide/euthanasia bill once and for all. Be grateful today. Thank God for life.

An incredible speech - expertly crafted, brilliantly controlled, spoken from the heart and painful experience, selfless and totally compelling. Here's hoping MPs listen.
Very powerful speech from @AshleyDalton_MP, who has stage 4 cancer and opposes the assisted dying bill. "I have been terrorised with tales of people vomiting up their own faeces...it is nothing short of irresponsible to scaremonger people like me into believing our deaths will be horrific when with good access to palliative care most deaths are gentle."

Unfortunate truths about Scottish education: The number of high-achieving kids has collapsed by 40% in the past 20 years. PE is now the third most popular subject at Higher. Just 40% percent of kids pass English and Maths at National 5 (ie, GCSE). Scottish 15 year olds are more than a year behind English 15 year olds in Maths and Science. "Knowledge" is a contested idea in Scottish education. And the SNP government's response? The situation is "essentially stable". Column on a great national disgrace. 👇 thetimes.com/uk/scotland/art…

Can’t we just close Holyrood down and agree it was all just a terrible expensive mistake? Look at the state of this — and this guy thinks he should be first minister!
This is the worst Ministerial performance before a committee in a very, very long time - excruciating- remember all his cheeky questions to Prime Ministers in an often successful attempt to make them look foolish - who looks the fool now?
