Data is important. Every day, we make data-driven decisions. We also use it more than we realize in trail building. Collecting and analyzing data has been critically important here at Trail Builder Magazine. I believe that is one characteristic that separates us from other mountain biking magazines. Yes, we love and want to share stories about bikes and trails. At the same time, trail building is a maturing industry.
It’s time for more data collection. This time, it’s about perceptions and attitudes about being a woman in trail building.

Hate to say it, but AI art and entertainment has me excited for several reasons:
1. I don't understand what makes things good
2. Startled and confused by human expressions and hands
3. I type how to kiss into quora before dates
4. My personality is one time I googled stoicism

And - a response to those of you trying to skew my words --
A lot of countries are still *actually* hanging people.
Perhaps you should direct your activism accordingly...?
With all due respect, I'm trying to get a conversation going about the overdose epidemic in SF.
So we’re going full Westworld then. Cool. Coolcool cool.
Relationships matter. Sincerity matters. For somethings in life, there aren’t shortcuts. Maybe this isn’t such an instance. But in any case, this future seems so bleak.

I wonder if the formal notion of "therapy" gets replaced entirely by talking with AI friends, or by having an AI "assistant" always monitoring you in the background, giving feedback, etc.
The hype leaching and coattail riding around this stuff is starting to remind me of the early crypto hype.
”This brand new thing will change everything and no one knows how to use it yet! Get in touch to pay me, an anonymous expert, to guide you”

Here’s my question about LLMs, GPTs, etc:
Can we just…not?
Is that an option? I want that option.
I don’t want a capitalist’s dream arms race where the real stakeholders don’t get a say in how we upend their lives so a few people can get even richer.
We have to figure out how to slow drivers down. Looking further down this thread, the photo of the car makes it pretty clear that this high-sized road + early morning low volume allowed this drivers to travel way too fast.
BREAKING: a crash along TV Hwy at SW 178th has the road CLOSED in both directions. A driver hit a pedestrian and power pole here. @WCSOOregon says the pedestrian is deceased, road will remain closed for several hours. Stay with @KATUNews for info #LiveOnK2 #pdxtraffic

hehe. I get your point...but there's a bit more to it than that! I mean this honestly...I'm struggling to see what true value this 'generation' is adding for the reimbursement/income they're receiving. Help me out.

Head's up! The NWTA trailer was stolen from the Portland metro area. It had been parked with a wheel lock on the tire. Please keep your eyes out. If you spot this trailer anywhere, please DM us to let us know. Feel free to share the post and spread the word. Thanks so much!
Thanks, buddy. We couldn’t have gotten where we are without you!
