I had planned to have my first write-up from TIFF out on Friday. I spent part of my weekend in the hospital after having a seizure while seeing Primetime in theatres. My write-ups are going to take a bit longer and will likely be written differently.

What happened to me is bigger than one artist or one stage. When the billionaire class can decide which voices are allowed on stage and which ones are too dangerous to hear, everyone should be paying attention. So we're going on tour. All proceeds will benefit organizations supporting the Palestinian people and movement. Sign up at macklemore.com

I’m slowly chipping away at some write up’s for the festival. They’ll mostly be a round up throughout the fest, briefly discussing them all. I’ve got at least a screening a day (but taking a break for Resident Evil first) until Sunday. It’s been mixed-but-good for me.

#TIFF26 is finally here. 🧵 This is my fifth year as press and getting to cover it each year is always a highlight of the year. I’ve already seen some friends and hope to run into some more. Follow along to hear my thoughts about what I see this year.

#6. ELSINORE. I don’t think I was prepared for this. It utterly wrecked me. Andrew Scott is extraordinary and should be in the running for Best Actor. Another film about Legacy, and how we’ll be remembered. An ongoing theme at this year’s festival. #TIFF26

#7. YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER. It is upsetting that the main discussion point of the film is how we didn’t get Blade. How lucky we are that we got this instead. Something meditative, funny, action-packed, and wonderful as this. #TIFF26
