You can debate the extent, but it is ultimately disingenuous to suggest that cost for producers will not be impacted at all.

Domestic producers import supplies – we can debate the degree of this, but by definition, cost would increase with any degree.
More importantly, auto producers are downstream from material imports that would be more expensive for a long period with relatively inelastic supply.
Replying to @GHOSTG8R @LeadingReport
They currently rely on a global supply chain. Supply is not completely elastic, so they will continue to import certain materials at a higher rate.
If manufacturers can produce everything, the cost of labour is higher than exporting countries, so there is still increased cost.
Trailer just dropped.
Excited for more folks to see this one. Not sure if lube will be offered for all showings.

1. Satisfaction
Satisfaction is an exercise in restraint – a meditation on power dynamics, unspoken control, and the reclamation of self. But what elevates this picture is Emma Laird’s performance, a career-best turn that cements her as a rising star.

3. Together
Michael Shanks’ debut feature takes the creeping anxieties of long-term commitment and twists them into something visceral, grotesque, and unexpectedly hilarious.

4. Hallow Road
Confined largely to the inside of a car, Hallow Road turns a parent’s worst nightmare into a suffocating psychological experience, unfolding mostly in real time through a series of frantic phone calls.

5. Bunny
Bunny throws its audience headfirst into the chaotic, overstuffed world of a New York tenement building where doors never seem to close, and peace is an abstract concept.

Is DEAD LOVER the sexiest movie at @sxsw ?
Congrats to Grace Glowicki and the rest of the team for their sale to Cartuna x Dweck!
Here's a clip from my conversation with them - how much sex is really in DEAD LOVER?

THE TRUE BEAUTY OF BEING BITTEN BY A TICK isn’t for everyone. Its slow-burn pacing, deliberate absurdism, and refusal to commit to a singular tone will frustrate some. But if you appreciate indie horror, collaborative filmmaking, and pushing creativity it’s a must-watch.
4/4
Ohs works with a “table of bubbles" philosophy: the creative process cannot bear external pressures – it must be weightless, adaptable, and entirely free of constraints. This approach has resulted in five films in five years, with this latest film being one of his best.
3/4
The entire cast and crew of THE TRUE BEAUTY OF BEING BITTEN BY A TICK worked in tandem, shaping the narrative through improvisation and continuous scene development, allowing the film to evolve organically during production.

2/4
THE TRUE BEAUTY OF BEING BITTEN BY A TICK is a manifestation of indie filmmaking in its purest form.
This project from Pete Ohs brought Zoë Chao, Callie Hernandez, and James Cusati-Moyer on board – all of whom share writing credits.
