Proud of how the @wp_acf team has handled this one. WordPress core is a moving target and sometimes forces hard tradeoffs. The team that knows ACF deeply, knows its users, and genuinely cares didn't just ship a fix - they shipped options, context, and a path forward.
🚨 ACF PRO 6.8.9 is here - with an important update for ACF Blocks V2 users on WordPress 7.1.
WordPress 7.1 introduced a change to the block editor: the editing canvas now renders inside an iframe by default, for all themes.
The goal is to make the editor preview match your front end exactly. But it means the scripts that powered ACF Blocks V2 edit mode are no longer available inside the canvas.
