Really disappointed that this hat doesn't come with the messy bun on top. Was going to get one for my husband.
Sent the husband to the deli for soup TWICE today. First time instead of soup he brought home sausage. I sent him back later in the afternoon so that I could have soup for dinner, He's going out for dinner and I am home with a bad sore throat. I just went to heat it up, opened the deli container ... It's ... oatmeal. 🤦🏻♀️ When I tell you that his short-term memory is shot from the TBI, this is what I mean.
There have been no more mystery beeps since the last ones 36ish hours ago So whatever it was, it was probably external to our apartment. Possibly the unit next door. 🕵🏻♀️🔍
Weirdest thing happened last night. At 4:00 AM I was awakened by a loud high-pitched beep. It beeped twice in rapid succession. I got up and checked our smoke detector which is a sealed unit with a 10-year life span, and I checked all four water leak alarms. Could not find the source of the beep. My husband slept through it, naturally. I'm still a little freaked out and annoyed.
Meatloaf, loaded mashed potatoes, and baby carrots glazed with butter and red pepper jelly. It's what's for dinner.
Little factoid. Since Bill Clinton has made Liberace's bathroom topical, I've actually hosted a private party in Liberace's Las Vegas mansion back in the 90s. It's a rather ordinary looking home (actually two homes were combined) in a surprisingly suburban neighborhood, and it sits on a small half acre lot. Parts of the 15k square foot interior are flamboyant and over the top, as one would expect. (I'd have killed for his closet). Others were not so grand. It only had two bedrooms. It was decorated in a fanciful mix of 1980s kitsch and French Provencial inspired decor. Grand crystal chandeliers and tchotchkes everywhere. More ADD than Architectural Digest.

You know the joke about the man who lives in a house on the plains that's being overcome by rising floodwaters. A rescuer in a rowboat comes by, but the man refuses to get in, saying "I'm waiting for God to save me." Half an hour later with the waters at his second story, another rowboat comes by, but he refuses to get in. "I'm waiting for God to save me," he says. An hour later, with the man perched on the apex of his roof, a helicopter drops a line, which the man refuses to take because "I'm waiting for God to save me." Well, soon enough he's standing at the Pearly Gates, where God himself comes out to greet him. "I'm so disappointed in you," the man says. "Schmuck," says God, "I sent two rowboats and a helicopter to save you."
That's the Europeans with air conditioning.
Blistering record heat in Europe this summer killed more than 50,000 people, with nearly two-thirds of that death toll blamed on human-caused climate change, a new study found. abcnews.link/EUhX7dR

I take heart knowing the leftists in Queers for Palestine shirts will swiftly denounce the attacks on Lindsey Graham’s sexuality.
I swear, the first company to put rolls of kitchen garbage bags on a cardboard core like paper towels could print money.

Husband has been experiencing floaters in his vision. Normally I wouldn't be concerned, but given his stroke a year and a half ago, we went to have him checked out. A routine exam turned into three and a half hours of tests. It's a good thing that we went. We caught narrow angle glaucoma early. He's going to have separate laser procedures two weeks apart. - end of November & mid December. Guy just can't catch a break.
Between the front seats in my rideshare today. 👀
This is not ok. It was not in the driver's console or glove compartment.

I call for the board of @united to cut Scott Kirby’s salary to $30k a year, take his stock + options, and redistribute the balance of his salary and stock to all United employees.
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby wants to show customers in seat 34B he feels their pain by endorsing a national wealth tax. Such virtue-signaling is cheaper than complimentary pretzels.
