We’ve now recruited over 35,000 young people to be poll workers! Thank you to everyone who has made this possible by signing up, sharing, and volunteering!
A well deserved honor for one of our greatest inspirations!
#PrincetonU is naming a building in honor of the late Laura Wooten, a longtime University Campus Dining staff member who, with 79 years of volunteer experience, was recognized as the longest serving election poll worker in the United States. bit.ly/3GYmRpJ

🧡🖤 to the inspiration for so many of our @pollheroproject volunteers!
On #NationalNewJerseyDay, we're celebrating Laura Wooten's Law, named after the late #PrincetonU staff member and longest continuously serving poll worker in American history.
Signed into law on July 23, it requires civics instruction at the middle school level throughout NJ.

What college athletics did with voter engagement in 2020 was like a last minute game plan change or a fiery pregame talk.
We need to learn from that and consistently do the fundamental work of civic education helping "grow citizens".
