Scaling energy ⚡️ + industrial 🇺🇸 startups at @gener8tor 👉 https://xitter.cf/t.co/mkm8K5qihl

Most founders have no idea Nevada is doing this. ⚡ The only active lithium mine in the U.S. The Tesla Gigafactory. An industrial park larger than the city of Detroit. Reno-Tahoe is the #5 emerging data center market in the world. Battery manufacturing growing 6x the national average. Zero income tax. Electricity roughly half California rates. And it's only a 3-4 hour drive from Silicon Valley. We built a @gener8tor accelerator here because this is where energy companies should be building right now. Electrify Nevada is equity-free, state-backed, and open to founders across battery tech, critical minerals, grid edge, commercial electrification, AI infrastructure, and physical AI. One requirement: you want to build in the fastest growing energy economy in the U.S. 🇺🇸 We are open to any stage, globally. We want the best energy founders in the world building in NV. Fall 2026 applications are open. First round closes June 30. Comment BIG ENERGY and I'll send you the link to apply early and get a first review.

Let’s build NV!
Okay it’s happening: - Added 160k square feet in Reno for our automated high volume lines and parts up to 5’x10’. Operational now. - Added 170k square feet in Pittston PA for 1-day shipping (or faster) to the Northeast US. Landing machines and growing the team now. - Southeast US is next (flying out next week to negotiate a lease). 3 more leases in 3 more states to sign after that. Expect massive lead time reductions across our factory network. - Finalizing our first acquisition and working on the second and third. These are services you’ve been asking for. More coming. We’ll be able to say yes to more of your BOM. - Welding is ramping nicely. More assembly support soon. - More materials and capabilities for CNC machining in development now, including much smarter pricing. Increased capacity will also help us cut lead time drastically. - Added 450 people so far this year. Hopefully double that in 2027. - Candy and merch budgets have been tripled. …And we’re just getting started. That’s a big part of why we raised again: to build more, ship faster, and make manufacturing easier and more accessible. I’m doing my best for ya. I love you guys. Big thanks to @willreed at @sparkcapital , @caitlinbolnick1 at @CRV, @marksugarman at MHS, @andrew__reed at @sequoia and @matthuang at @paradigm for supporting our Series B (and the extra rocket fuel) LFG!!!!! 🇺🇸

I wish I were 18 today... If you ARE young and reading this, the most accomplished people alive envy your starting position. The tools are becoming free, the problems are enormous, and this time you don't need to ask for permission.  Go change the world!

I've never seen an exceptional product that was designed by committee. Too many cooks in the kitchen make products that are complicated and diluted. Every compromise feels small in the meeting, and together they water down the whole thing!

Love driving by this
TIL a Swedish architect found the drive through Utah’s salt flats so boring that he built an 87 ft tall concrete tree there a casino offered to fund it if he put its sign on the sculpture. he said no and sold his condos to pay for it himself. 5M people a year drive past it

Nevada is the #1 mining jurisdiction & has the only active commercial lithium mine in the entire USA + one of the largest reserves coming online soon w/ @LithiumAmericas
The future of warfare runs on batteries. America needs to be able to build them. Yesterday, NAIA joined @ARPAE and the Virtus Innovation Center in Arlington, Virginia, to host Next Generation Batteries for Tactical Systems, bringing together battery innovators, defense officials, and industry leaders to explore how we can accelerate the deployment of these technologies. The mission: Get American innovation into the field, faster

Solar the #1 grid additive and what does Nevada have a lot of… ☀️
The US grid plans to add 86 gigawatts this year. Here's where it's coming from: - Solar: 43.4 GW - Batteries: 24.3 GW - Wind: 11.8 GW - Gas: 6.3 GW - New nuclear: 0 GW The AI labs are planning for hundreds of gigawatts. Solar is the one source already produced at that scale, and most of it is made in China. "Scaling firm power that isn't gas is much more complicated. Uprates and restarts can squeeze a little more from the existing nuclear fleet, but the real upside is new reactors." a16z's @rmcentush on how America powers the next wave of growth: a16z.news/p/why-texas-is-mak…
