As a Christain, do you support the fact that almost every single takeaway brand is halal. That means that the person doing the slaughtering invokes the name of allah when they slaughter the animal. This means that the animals are not stunned first. This means that a fee is paid to a muslim organisation to certify this food. If am muslim will not eat meat unless it halal, why are Christians having halal food forced onto them when muslims make up 2-3% of the population?

According to municipal officials, the development has officially cleared its design phase now that funding has been secured. Technical planning is already in motion, with statutory development work slated to run until the end of the first quarter of 2027 before construction kicks off. While the upcoming multimillion-rand investment promises to modernize the beachfront and attract new tourism, the true soul of the old park lay in the people who ran it. For decades, the Steyn family poured their hearts, souls, and generational expertise into operating Durban Funworld, turning it into a cornerstone of local childhood memories. As this exciting new chapter unfolds, it is my sincere hope that the eThekwini Municipality ensures the Steyn family is meaningfully included in the development. Their decades of hands-on experience, deep institutional knowledge, and profound passion for bringing joy to Durban would be an invaluable asset to the new park. Finance Minister Enoch Godonwana has announced fuel relief measures. To provide temporary relief, the fuel levy will be reduced by R3 per litre for diesel and R1.50 per litre for petrol from 4 November 2026 up until to 1 December 2026. Thereafter, the relief will continue at a lower amount until 5 January 2027. The diesel levy will then be reduced by R1.50 per litre the petrol levy by R1 per litre. These measures will provide R10 billion in support, at a fiscal cost of R10 billion in foregone revenue.
