Andrew Carnegie covered most of the costs of building the Ewart Library, Dumfries, Scotland. An example of the 2,500 Carnegie Libraries built globally to promote education. An estimated 800 survive as libraries.

My colleagues & I have taken a huge gamble to set up @thenerve_news. We’re trying to build a new independent publication from the ground up. Social media is our only distribution for now. Sharing this article in your networks would make a huge difference. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
NEW: The British politician, his Russian intelligence handler & a Kremlin plot against the US & Ukraine. My new piece about Nathan Gill and Nigel Farage for @thenerve_news in which we ask: Why, even now, is no-one asking questions?

In 1935, a peculiar Austrian forester made a claim that seemed impossible: He could make water flow uphill without any external power source. Scientists called him a fraud. The Nazi regime tried to weaponize his discoveries. Today, modern physics is proving he was right about almost everything. This is the story of Viktor Schauberger, the "Water Wizard" who saw what everyone else missed:

Thanks! Yes, that was a great campaign - I've spoken to some of the participants. And yes, coincidentally this summer I visited Birling Gap and learned that the Frank Newbould print is based on a downland view nearby! :)

A quirk of geography means that the UK is blessed with most of the world’s chalk stream. Where are the chalk streams? A brilliant article from @NationalGeoRP shows us exactly. We have spent the last 200 years taming and abusing them. And they are in a dire state. Now is the time to act! Featuring @PJennings88. These are so incredibly precious and need all the protection we can give them! @Feargal_Sharkey @jaowallace @Petex70

I created a cool web app using @OrdnanceSurvey data - British Placename Mapper (placenames.rtwilson.com/). It allows you to search for place names that match various criteria (starts with 'great', ends with 'burgh' etc) and plot them on an interactive map. #gis #geospatial

The lack of a seafront cycle route in #Eastbourne and dithering by @Eastsussexcc has been an issue for years and years. Most other seaside towns provide a safe route and they work well. Bespoke now using 🎼 🎹 🎤 🎭 to support the case. - Please RT

It's been an odd year in terms of photography. I've exhibited 3 times, with another 2 to come, and whilst this is great, it has meant that my creative energies haven't been focussed on taking actual images.I think Ive taken 3 images this year that I'm happy with. This is one.
