BUDGET 2022 - We have just received confirmation that the fees facing late bars and nightclubs for SEOs are to be waived for the remainder of 2021.
This is very welcome news and is a measure that the LVA has extensively pressed the Government about. #Budget2022

"It is a bit of a surprise that these businesses, having done all that was asked of them during the pandemic, are now facing what effectively amounts to a Government tax of more than €2.2 million to allow them to open their doors again."

I really enjoyed traveling down to Dingle Distillery in Co Kerry (what a spot btw!) and speaking with @ElliotHughesDD. Great story about a whiskey distillery and brand on the up!

A lack of Public toilets, too much litter, unhappy residents, uncontrolled gatherings etc. The answer is right in front of us ,but our leaders are blind. Open our industry indoor and outdoors, we're trained and ready @MichealMartinTD @LeoVaradkar

I dont think there has been a more important week on the future of hospitality in a long time. If you are in hospitality this is the week to contact your TDs. It would be unforgivable if traditional pubs closed 404 days today were left out of the road map. #opentogether

This should apply to all forms of outdoor hospitality. #OpenTogether
.@FineGael emergency motion for tonight’s @DubCityCouncil meeting. Summary - get outdoor dining up and running, support culture and let’s get our city centre going again. #outdoordining

Over the last few weeks, LVA & @VFIpubs met with a range of TDs and Ministers about the reopening of all pubs in Dec. Very heartened by the strong support that was voiced for the sector.
We look forward to our message being heard during the Dáil debate starting today

If government go level 3+ it will force people into house parties. Please @LeoVaradkar and @MichealMartinTD make sure you highlight that houses will need chicken wings to protect them. Not safe regulated environments. @LVADublinPubs @VFIpubs 🤬🤬🤬🌲🍻

The incredible team at @phbrew have created a stout aged for 180 days in @DingleWhiskey barrels. Knowing the quality these folks produce we are excited to try this. Aged for 180 days, boiled for 24hrs and using 7 Malts #ComingSoon. Well done to all at Porterhouse Brewery.
