ARRL Field Day. I’m going solo this year….. just me and Mr. Potato Head. Operating 1E - full solar. Need AK ? I’ll be on most of the day + satellites (SO-50 & AO-7) seem to be best from BP64.

One of the coolest video I’ve ever taken. Mommy Grouse was protecting her newly hatched 6 chicks when I was ditching my driveway. I immediately stopped and left the area. (Sound up to hear her hiss)

Ham Radio: Something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. Ask Grok - (Design a ham radio horizontal multi band antenna that uses Liquid Metal ). Grok4 did a good job detailing physics, specifics, construction & costs. Gallium and micro controller for length control

KL7KC is an active Ham Radio club located in Fairbanks Alaska. Remember - Field Day 2025 message is actively being sent - various modes and bands and both W1AW & K6KPH transmit. Bands are extremely noisy from Alaska - we’ll do our best. 73

Alaska Ham Radio: QRP in Alaska is difficult at best. Im going to be backpacking (100+mi) into remote areas this summer for geology work. Need suggestions for inexpensive /light wt transceiver. One way trip for gear. I’m more concerned with food and equip weight.

I caught the Alaska Poker fFat rocket launch. Think this was #3. From 3.5 mile CHSR. Clearly hear the engines ignite. Roar…. Flipped the HF radio on to potentially hear any difference in signal on 20m. Nada.. large diffusion release of ?? (Maybe barium).

Ham Radio: A big shout out to KL2R (Leon / N1TX) for inviting me to participate in the IARU HF World Championship contest. What fun and it helped sharper my DX skills. Lots of HQ DX stations on & propagation was pretty good from Alaska.
