SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

“In Europe, it also helps to be Canadian.” I bet it does.
Is this what the “associate membership” is about? Taking out Starlink? Ruling over telecommunications? Are we trying to rival the Americans? And we wonder why there’s a trade war? Mark Carney’s friend and donor is doing this with our tax money?
No Starlink but... "Officials said Canada and the EU are also talking about deepening co-operation on secure satellite connections including Galileo, the EU’s satellite navigation system which is the equivalent of GPS, as well as Iris2, the EU’s planned secure satellite network which would give governments and businesses a communication option that doesn’t depend on U.S. or Chinese systems.
Ottawa and Brussels are talking about Canada participating in GovSatCom, which pools satellite communications capacity from member states for government and military use, officials said."

💥EXPLOSIVE ATIP: Immigration Canada knew Indian agents were running MASSIVE FRAUD in the trucking industry and the student visa program as early as 2017 — and stamped the evidence "DO NOT DISCLOSE."
According to records released under the Access to Information Act, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) maintained an internal procedures manual for its New Delhi visa office documenting systemic fraud across the student visa and temporary foreign worker streams. The manual instructs officers to treat fraud as anticipated rather than exceptional
The most damning thing about this scandal is not the fraud — it's that the government predicted it, kept it running, and then stamped the file "DO NOT DISCLOSE."
Canada didn't lose control of its immigration system—they monetized it.

They will not reverse major issues like unripe or even shrink the civil service in a meaningful way
They will conserve the hard left socialism of bc, nothing more.

They keep telling you Canada is at "war" with America. Investigative journalist Sam Cooper (author of Willful Blindness, founder of The Bureau) says that's exactly backwards — and he has the documents to prove it.
In this episode, Sam breaks down Mark Carney's 100+ undisclosed conflicts of interest, the TD Bank fentanyl money-laundering scandal, China's bond purchases quietly flowing through Canadian banks, the BC Ferries deal with a Chinese shipbuilder near sensitive coastal waters, and why CSIS says Beijing is actively targeting Canadian First Nations leaders.
If you've been told "elbows up" against America, this conversation will change how you see the real hybrid war being fought on Canadian soil.
