Police Scotland would like to advise motorists that there is a road closure at the junction of the A850 and B866, 1 mile from Dunvegan due to the ongoing hillfire.
The public are asked to avoid the area if possible and thanked for their patience.

1/2 Scottish Fire & Rescue Service says it was alerted at 10:55 Wednesday to a wildfire on Skye. A spokesman said: "Six fire engines mobilised to Struan area of the island where crews were met by a fire which had taken hold of a section of heath & forestry."
