I've noticed that the people who thrive on social media are often the outspoken, funny, controversial and larger-than-life personalities. It's rare to see the calm, composed and reserved ones blow up at the same rate.
MrBeast is a good example. "Watch me spend a week on a deserted island" will likely attract more attention than "Watch me spend a week in an Airbnb."
Why? We're naturally drawn to the unusual. We want to see things that challenge the ordinary, spark curiosity and keep us entertained.
Perhaps social media doesn't just reward authenticity; it rewards the ability to capture attention.
